I was fortunate enough to have a day that I could get outside around the house. Since I was blessed to get out, me and Miss Rooh took a walk out in the back bottom behind the homestead
While we were out there, I decided to check on my precious little garden. It is not very big this year, as I did not get near what I had planned planted. And what I did plant some of it just did not do well. My mustard seems to be the one thing that is not going to do much as only one row came up. That is okay, I have plans to replant in the fall.

However, when we checked it out this evening, I was so excited. My tomatoe plants, which upon inspection the week before appeared to be dying, and my bean plants had been covered in Japanese Beetles.

To my delight most of that had changed. I still have Japanese Beetles eating the leaves, but it doesn't seem (so far) to be hurting the vines. I even had blooms and some itty bitty beans setting on. My tomatoes plants had bounced back and a couple of them were even showing blooms.

Granted, they received a good watering from Mother Nature for the better part of a week, as we had rain just about every day. I have no doubt that the natural watering had everything to do with the somewhat miraculous results.

I am still amazed at the manner in which the Good Lord engineered nature. The fact that you can plant a few seeds in the ground, and with patience (which as I said before at times I am not good at) that seed will produce a harvest. A harvest of multiple numbers, and all from one tiny seed.

It is by the very grace of the Good Lord that this happens. I will never believe otherwise.
